Quotes

You don't have to be the best to do it. You just have to do it.

Feeling sorry for yourself, and your present condition, is not only a waste of energy but the worst habit you could possibly have. -Dale Carnegie

All life demands struggle. Those who have everything given to them become lazy, selfish, and insensitive to the real values of life. The very striving and hard work that we so constantly try to avoid is the major building block in the person we are today. -Pope Paul VI

There is no try, only do. -Yoda

A strong outside strengthens the inside.

Challenges are what make life interesting. Overcoming those challenges makes life meaningful.

Be the hammer, never the nail.

Confidence is the only key. I know a lot of people who aren’t traditionally ‘beautiful’ - not symmetrical or perfect-bodied or perfect-skinned. But none of that matters because all that shines through is their confidence, humor and comfort with themselves. I can’t think of any better representation of beauty than someone who is unafraid to be herself.

Being the underdog just gives you something to work for.

What a disgrace it would be for a man to grow old without ever seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable. -Socrates

No matter what kind of life you've lived, no matter how many wrong choices you've made, the next moment is waiting to give birth to new life.

Never look down on anybody unless you're helping them up.

People only spew negativity at you for following your dreams, because they're not brave enough to follow theirs.

Everything is possible for whomever believes. -Mark 9:23

Our greatest pretenses are built up not to hide the evil and the ugly in us, but our emptiness. The hardest thing to hide is something that is not there.

Even on my weakest day, I get a little bit stronger.

It's elevating and humbling at the same time. Running along a beach at sunrise with no other footprints in the sand, you realize the vastness of creation, your own insignificant space in the plan, how tiny you really are, your own creatureliness and how much you owe to the supreme body, the God that brought all this beauty and harmony into being. -Sister Marion Irvine, 2:51 PR and 1984 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials qualifier

A dog is the only thing on this earth that loves you more than he loves himself.

Damaged people are dangerous. They know they can survive.

The body is an instrument, not an ornament.

Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair. -Kahlil Gibran

I always loved running - it was something you could do by yourself, and under your own power. You could go in any direction, fast or slow as you wanted, fighting the wind if you felt like it, seeking out new sights just on the strength of your feet and the courage of your lungs.

  7. What a post and what a compilation of quotes! If good health requires you to devote half an hour every day, why not do it. I guess being fit is worth that much time and effort.

    Keep up the good work!

  8. My friend recently shared your blog with me and I am so happy she did! I recently started CF in September 2012 and I LOVE IT. I've always been super active but nothing compares to CF. It's great to read about other tiny girls kicking butt and loving it! Here is one of my favorite quotes that I think you will like, "And though she be but little, she is fierce." - Shakespeare

You are so beautiful and strong! Keep it up, girl!
