Hello and welcome! I'm Courtney.
I'm a strong, healthy, happy, glass half-full kind of gal. This blog documents my life as an Army wife, rescue dog mom and fit-minded, health-conscience human being.
I love Crossfit, weightlifting, powerlifting, GPP, gymnastics, yoga, trail running, racing, and cycling, and I blog about it all right here.
I have the appetite of a small horse and love me some good, clean eats. I don't follow any diet paradigm, just listen to my body and believe everything in moderation.
Of course I’d love to live in Willy Wonka Land with Augustus Gloop and bathe in a pool of whipped chocolate frosting, but I love more the feeling of being fit and confident in who I am.
I love to cook and bake! I'm always altering recipes to make them healthier and better for us, but sometimes I'm utterly hopeless and my sweet tooth gets the best of me.
Alas, life is too short. Therefore, I make room for wine and chocolate, everyday.

If I want to start my day without shooting someone in the foot, I need to sweat first thing.
I try to live my life by example. I push my body to the limits today, to make me stronger tomorrow, and hopefully carry me happily into old age (with this old man).
My husband is my hero and the sexiest man I've ever seen in uniform. ;)
Elliott is our crazy Papillion mutt and the absolute light of my life.
My friends are beyond amazing.
As a military spouse, we move often. We must uproot our lives, but our friendships we carry with us in our hearts. I've known the joys of making unforgettable, life-long friends with fellow Army spouses. While we are states apart now, they're still there for me when I need them (which seems like every day ...)

If you don't want to see photos of me in various shades of sweaty and delish eats from different angles, read elsewhere, you've been forewarned!
Thanks for reading!
