Travis picked out this carpet a long time ago (like, years) before we started dating. This is all I have ever seen of it. This could be very bad or very good. We already have everything painted and pretty much decorated upstairs. I hope the carpet "works" with what I have going on up there. *Fingers crossed.*
The carpet upstairs has been the bane of my existence. It might be the ugliest thing I've ever seen in my entire life. Right next to the wood paneling covering the entire house. Or the carpet in the kitchen. Or the fluorescent lights and drop ceiling in the living room. I somehow made the carpet upstairs even uglier because I spilled and dropped paint all over it when I was painting (knowing we'd be replacing it) and we've been living with it that way for
Anyways; this is a big chapter in the home renovations book we will be closing. I am ready to have even one space updated! I know Travis loves the property for the garages, barn and the acres and acres of land he now owns to hunt with his Dad. But the house? Well, it was a complete side thought. He could live in a cardboard box and be happy - as long as he can hunt.
So, I am having fun learning how to DIY everything and enjoying the huge process that is renovating a 100 year old farmhouse. I'm learning a shit ton, saving thousands of dollars, and developing some tendonitis in my elbow from painting 12,974,473 square feet of wood paneling.
