When Mr. Banana Meets Mrs. Egg

You guys know me, I have an obsession. An obsession with waffles.

I should probably see someone about it, I mean ...

If I could eat them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, I would.

Oh wait, I do.

I dream about them sometimes, and all the ooey-gooey goodness that can be trapped into those deep, dark, waffle squares. Why does it sound like I'm writing Fifty Shades of Waffles?

I love them so much I put spinach in them, and then stuff them with fluffy egg whites.

I know how to treat my waffles right.

Until I cheat on them ... with pancakes.

I know, what a whore.

2-Ingredient
Chunky Banana Pancakes

I didn't see it coming. I swear, I love my waffles. But oh my goodness, I LOVE these pancakes!

While my poor waffle-maker cried in the corner, I devoured these fluffy, banana-filled puppies faster than you can say "harlot."

They consist of only two ingredients! If you're feeling really saucy, you can add a little cinnamon and vanilla extract. But all that's needed is a banana and an egg.

Take Mr. Banana, and mash him up real good. Now, crack Mrs. Egg over him and turn down the lights, mix them together.  Pour 1/3 of the batter of a greased griddle, and flip when bubbles begin to pop.

You know you're gonna make them. Oh, you know.

We're off to tackle a few more things from the ATL Bucket List.

1. Do you prefer a savory breakfast or a sweet breakfast?Sweet. But, I'm trying to kill my sweet tooth and eat things like vegetables and eggs for breakfast.

2. Do you prefer to curl or straighten your hair?
My hair is naturally straight, which is why I think I like to curl it. Recently, I've gotten into using a curling wand, and I'm obsessed!

3. Do you prefer men with beards or no beards?
I have a serious thing for facial hair, bring on the beards. The Husband is only allowed to grow out his beard when he's on leave. :(

  1. Those pancakes sound AMAZING! They are going on the menu for my first Post-Whole 30 breakfast...because even though they're "technically compliant", it would be SWYPO (sex with your pants on) if I had them now.

I'm usually a savory breakfast type of gal- I can put away a plate of eggs, sausage, and veggies every day and be totally content. I have a head of naturally curly hair, and I usually love it that way. I only break out the straightener for my bangs and days when I know there will be zero humidity (which, in Missouri, is somewhere between never and 3 times a year). As for my men (and by men, I mean man), I usually prefer him clean-shaven. But there is something dashing about stubble on occasion ;)

    1. What? No bananas?! CRAZY. This is probably why I will never do a Whole 30. ;)

    2. Bananas are legal, and so are eggs. The big no-no for us is Paleo-fying "junk food" or treats.

  4. I saw those on Instagram and I'm pretty sure I drooled everywhere! They look so good. Haha I'm a waffle person too, always felt weird eating pancakes. I prefer sweet :) but they just dont stay with me as long as savory. I have straight hair, I sometimes curl my hair, but honestly am too lazy to curl most of the time lol. Hmmm that's a hard question. I guess I would have to say both.

  5. I have to have a little sweetness in my breakfast. I love a well groomed goatee. My hair will not curl, but I do straighten it the day after a wash. When I blow it out it stays fairly straight on its own. Those waffles sound delicious, and I'm definitely going to try Mr. Banana and Mrs. Egg!

  6. Not a big pancake or waffle girl (I know, I know!), but those do look delicious. I have veryyy curly hair, so it's fun for me to straighten it when I go out. I don't do it on a daily basis because I sweat like a beast when I workout and the curls come right back, so that would be a huge waste of time!

  8. I made these for lunch today. Yum!!
I have crazy curly hair. Sometimes it drives me bonkers but it's nice to have the curl but be able to straighten it when I want:)
I def like stubble. Not sure how I feel about a full on beard as my hubby has issues growing facial hair. Hahahahahaha

    1. My husband has a random bald patch on one side of his beard; so it's probably a good thing the Army makes him shave, hahaha :)

  9. must try your pancakes like yesterday!!! i also just recently picked up my first curling wand and am in love with it. i think it also helped that i cut off 4 inches of my locks so it takes like half the time to curl my hair now.

    1. Curling wands! Changed my life! Curls last for days! I just throw my hair up in a shower cap, twist a few pieces around the wand again, fluff it up, and good to go!
