Now, here are some snippets of the last few days, captured with the trusty iPhone.

Since you have time to waste ....
Yeah, I heard, the ducks want their face back.

I found a local bike shop on Yelp, and with their help, finally had my tri shoes fixed up so that I can wear them to Spin class ... so much more useful then dust bunny collectors they'd become in the closet.

I love me some Spin, but damn, with real shoes? I LUUUURVE me some Spin!

This could only mean one thing ...

Yes, red hurr, don't curr.

Abbadabba's in Little Five Points sells the rainbow of Saucony Bullets. <3 One of my favorite CrossFit shoes, besides my Nano's. Sigh, I really wanted the blue pair in the middle.

I dropped in here Friday morning, PR'ed my "Annie" time ... not the sub 6 minutes I wanted, but still a PR. A great facility, very competitive, they have several athletes training for Regionals, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were Games bound.

Did a super fun partner chipper WOD at CrossFit ATC on Saturday morning. I totally felt like I was back in Texas, one of the best mornings I have had in a long time. Not as fancy or as serious as CrossFit RX, CrossFit ATC has a much more laid back, homey, Mom & Pop type of feel. They had a big sign by the water fountain that read, "Friends Gather Here" <3

Doing what I do best, standing around ...

I couldn't believe I didn't poop my pants during this WOD. The entire night before, I'd been sick as a dog with some kind of food poisoning ... I'm guessing from dinner at Radial Cafe. Something seemed off about my turkey burger ...

The restaurant was awesome! And even if it did make me sick, I'm totally going back to try their breakfast menu. Worth another night of poo & puke, that good.

I was on a burger binge this weekend! The bison burger at Yeah Burger is nothing short of incredible. I had mine on a salad sans bun.

And tonight? I had breakfast for dinner. Zucchini protein waffles!

I just added a cup of shredded zucchini (use a cheese cloth to squeeze out all of the excess moisture) to my normal recipe (made from the Maple Grove Farms sugar-free pancake and waffle mix).

And of course, this wouldn't be my blog unless there were a few furry precious moments.

1. Have you ever gotten food poisoning from a restaurant? Have you ever been back?

2. Did you go out to eat over the weekend?

3. What is your natural hair color? Do you color it something different?

4. Favorite shampoo/conditioner?

    1. Pink shirt was from TJ Maxx! I agree, Spin is so much more fun, and effective, with the shoes!

  2. I've never gotten food poisoning, thank goodness. But was served undercooked chicken once, which I was compensated for. And I did end up going back because it wasn't my first time there and they always have pretty good food.

My natural color is dirty blonde but I've dyed it bleach blonde, brown, dark brown, and most recently, red. But it's been a while and has faded to a honey reddish brown.

  5. I've never had food poisoning, but I figure I came pretty close with a bad reaction to an energy drink I had a few years ago (TMI alert)... I had it before a midnight Harry Potter movie premiere and felt sick to my stomach halfway through the movie, and then spent the rest of the night in the bathroom puking my guts up.

I've never died my hair before- I like the color it is naturally. I have brown hair, and in teh summer, the top layer gets a little lighter from seeing the sun more, and it goes back to being darker during the winter months. For the past few years, I've been using the DevaCurl line of shampoos and conditioners for curly hair. It's done great things for keeping my curls in line!

I love your new red hair! It looks great on you.

  7. Ive had food poisoning once before, from some bad sushi in DC. I never went back to that restaurant.

LOVE your new hair color! Sassy mama! ;) My natural hair color is blond and I highlight it blond. LOL Ive tried to make it darker with low lights and all I hear from people (even my damn hairdresser) is "Blond is your color, you cant go darker, I cant imagine you anything else, blah blah blah blah". Guess Im stuck with it.

    1. You do make a rockin' blonde! I miss being blonde! :)

I used to waitress at a sushi bar and pacific island bar, and although I never had bad sushi, I was just around it so much, I still can't really stomach the idea of eating sushi. :(

  8. I got food poisoning before from a salad at a burger restaurant... I have been back and still ordered the exact same thing HA! My natural hair color is blonde and I have never died it, unless you count when I put a pink streak in my hair. My favorite shampoo/conditioner brand is Organix :)

  9. It was probably those sprouts on the burger! Those things are an e-coli trap!

    1. My husband said that same thing. In fact, he JOKED when the plate came that even though I was eating so healthy, watch, they probably had E Coli on them. SURE ENOUGH!

    1. Good for you! There was never a night of home cooking that I ever regretted, but plenty of nights of going out that I regretted, from ordering something unhealthy off the menu, to getting sick, lalala ...
