Milk Squats and Mustaches

We are up to no good here in Texas! Sorry for the lack of posts. Too busy living, loving, eating, boozing, killing WOD's, causing a ruckus and straight acting a fool.

Did I mention I have awesome friends?

Some photos during the "Loredo" Hero workout at CrossFit 254 on Tuesday, New Year's Day.

On Wednesday, we did a fun little WOD after Spin. I'm having a lot of fun programming workouts for us while I'm visiting. I'm not sure everyone else is loving me though, hah!

WOD hard, play hard.

They are ... special!

On Thursday, I had a Hero WOD planned for us.

Our hands were shredded afterwards.

I've been nursing this pretty little blood blister since.

How are you taking on the New Year? Full of life? Chasing your goals and crushing them into submission? I made a goal to practice more yoga.

I played around with handstands and Scorpion pose this afternoon.

Wearing my new Christmas pearls to dinner tonight!

Eat, drink and be merry!

What was the latest piece of jewelry you bought or were given?

Name one yoga pose you would like to master in the next year!

  3. Holy WOD's!! Legit. I am loving your pics and those shoes look great on you or you make them look great! ;)

I haven't done yoga in years! Bikram was my thing a while ago--has your flexibility improved with CrossFit? I know mine has!!

  4. Sounds like you're having such a blast in TX!!!

My mom gave me an Alex & Ani bracelet for Christmas; the charm says "It's not a sprint, it's a marathon."
I haven't done yoga, but one of our CrossFit coaches will be bringing in some power yoga this year. One of my goals is to get some upside down-ness in my life--it's scary!
Your blood blister looks really gnarly. I should send you a pic of my shredded hands after "Angie" a couple of weeks ago; 5-6 open rips on each hand. Another goal is to get "man hands" to keep from tearing up so bad, LOL!

    Happy New Year!

    1. I love inversions, too! I feel like it's just good for the body to spend some time upside down. :)
We did Angie over the summer and GEEZE, my hands. Will never forget that one.

I can't figure out where the new mustache obsession came from, but I'm totally riding the bandwagon.. it cracks me up!
Enjoy the rest of your stay in Texas. We (and by we I mean I) totally forgive you for not posting as often. You've been waiting for this, girl!

  6. I just bought a cute pair of earrings from Francesca's the other day for $1.50, and I was pretty pleased with myself! I don't have a specific pose that I'd like to master, but I would like to start doing yoga at all. It looks like you're loving your time in Texas!

    1. I don't see why not, seems fun! Since I've been training alone the last 6 months, it will be fun to see where I stack up against everyone else, you know?
