Today's sweat session:
Bench press: 95 x 6 - 115 x 5 - 120 x 2 (125 fail)
I'm so close to a body weight bench. Must keep working on this.
I finished with 3 drop sets at 95 pounds for 8 reps.
Back squat: 20 reps at body weight (125#)
Metcon: Hero WOD "Victoria"
Time: 24:07, as prescribed.
Not happy with this time. This WOD was extremely hard for me, and doing it alone, much less. Much harder than it would have been for me when I was training in Texas. I have lost so much of my conditioning since moving to Georgia. It's saddening, disheartening. Instead of getting depressed about it and throwing in the towel, I realize I'm doing the best I can with what resources and time I have available to me.
Let's be honest, the motivation just isn't there like it used to be. The fun isn't there like it used to be. The time isn't there like it used to be. My husband was away training, I had no responsibilities, and wasn't working. I was in the gym all morning. Not a luxury I have these days!
CrossFit is fun because of the community. I haven't found a community yet like I had in Texas, and I also can't find the same enjoyment in working out alone that I had working out with my girls in Texas.
It sounds like a bunch of excuses to me, alas, that is the truth. Where I used to look forward to meeting my friends for a WOD, I don't have that anymore. Now, it's forcing myself out of bed every morning, to suck up the pain alone.
But hey, I'm still doing it, even if I'm doing it a little bit slower.

Look what arrived today!
They fit like a glove! (They may be 1/2 size too large, but I'm thinking this might be good for running. ;) Can't wait to break them in tomorrow at the gym.

I love Moose Tracks and Butter Pecan! I found a new flavor from Edy's, it's a Butter Pecan sweetened with Splenda and churned with 1/2 the fat. Only 120 calories per serving and 3g of sugar! But, I love Blue Bell, too, it reminds me of Texas. <3
