Guess what's baking in the oven?
These tasties! Sweet Potato Chews inspired by this recipe from 17 Apart.
Not for me, for my sweet fur munchkin.
He is the pickiest little eater, but he loves some sweet potato. What are your dogs favorite treats? What kind of dog(s) do you have and what is/are their names?
All in a days work! I feel like such a lucky gal to hang out with the sweetest, loveliest fur babies. The fact that I've found not one, but two jobs, where I don't have to sit at a desk and can hang out in my sweaty gym clothes, is awesome!
Before heading to the box this morning to coach, I hit up my local gym for some quality time running stairs. If I'm going to run a Half Marathon on Thanksgiving, I need to spend some more time on my feet. I was surprised to find that eating bon bons in front of the TV is not the way to train, but this is more effective. Cray.
155 BPM average, 169 BPM max. I like to wear my monitor when I'm walking and running with the dogs, too. It's easier for me to look down and know what range I'm in, rather than guess what I think my RPE is. Do you wear a heart rate monitor, or do you train based on your RPE?
Yesterday's workout would have blown my heart rate monitor up.
I worked up to 135 pounds on the push press (woot! anything body weight or higher makes me super happy) and used a 44lb kettlebell for the metcon. The weight was not prescribed, but was left for the athlete to decide: something that is challenging to the point that you have to set the kettle bell down sometime during those 20 reps.
Death by hand stand push ups, shit. Can you tell I was sweating like a beast with those chalk stains? The chest to bar pullups were included in the 15 minutes. You had to "buy in" like you would with poker, before you could "play" at the WOD. The faster you got your chest to bars done, the more time you had to work on the WOD, for a total of 15 minutes.
I finished 5 rounds + 15 reps, Rx'ed.
And then my arms fell off and my head rolled away.
I also coached yesterday, so I was left doing the WOD on my own. Suckfest ultra.
Last night we saw Paranormal 4!
I was scared kind of over the whole story. Anything that has more than a 2nd is lame. How many of these damn movies are they going to make? Any chance to hold this handsome man's hand and scream like a wimp, I guess!
My 3 Must Have beauty products. Considering how
often I never do my hair, I'm surprised I even have Must Have beauty items besides a hair tie or a hat ... But I do. Paul Mitchel super skinny serum keeps my hair soft and supple and zero frizz, the Joico Color Endure line is hands down the best for color treated hair, worth every penny, and all of the L'Oreal Sublime Bronze products rock. No streaks, no weird smell, just a nice glow. I used to spend a crap ton on tanning bronzers from Ulta, like SUN and BAKED, but realized this stuff is just as good as that stuff, and way cheaper.
Take a shower, exfoliate.
Spray it on major areas, rub it over the skin, not into the skin. I apply my regular body lotion right on top, I feel that this makes it not quite as intense and more natural.
To avoid it rubbing off (no, it doesn't stain), I wander around my house naked for a few minutes, this isn't necessary though. I think I just like to be naked.
Do you feed your dog fancy treats?
Do you wear a HR monitor?
Do you have a mandatory beauty product you can't live without?
