We were at CrossFit Midtown today. Guess who picked up a sweet pair of tall socks and a tank top? This girl! Love me some box gear.
Strength: 4x5 deadlifts
Metcon: 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 of power cleans (115#) and hand release pushups
I worked up to 180# on the deadlifts and finished the metcon in 8:40.
While the Husband is on leave, he wants to check out all of the boxes in ATL. I think we were so deprived while living in Killeen, it feels like a CrossFit smorgasbord around hurr. I think it's great networking for him as a Recruiter, so I am willing to tag along as he visits box to box and maybe finds the one he thinks will be a good fit for him.
After the WOD we were on a mission to find the elusive PB2. We stopped at Publix on Ponce - fail! Whole Foods on Ponce - fail!
Lunch was a pretty epic win though, if I must say so myself.
I could get used to having a Whole Foods just 10 minutes from my casa. I could not get used to my much skinnier wallet, or much thicker waist ...
I sampled the Dairy Free Lime and the Cookies and Cream. Gelato is the bees kness!
I have never had a macaroon before (I know, call me an alien), but damn, I had no idea what I have been missing. If I had to be stranded in the desert and could only take one thing with me, I would leave the water and gorge on macaroons. At least I would die in Heaven.
Looks like I'll be ordering my PB2 online ...
What's your favorite things from Whole Foods? It's a relatively new store to me, so point a sister in the right direction!
