Snatch that!

The month of March has been a complete whirlwind. I'll let the photos do most of the talking. :)

Highlights:

  • Visiting Family in Oregon
  • My Farewell WOD
  • Husband's Birthday
  • Packing for Basic Training
  • Training for Basic Training
  • Memorizing for Basic Training
  • Saying goodbye to everyone before leaving to Basic Training
A lot of libations, dinners and traveling. :)

The Oregon Coast is absolutely amazing. My family has a house in Pacific City, so James and I escaped there for a few days.

It was so nice to be "back in my neck of the woods." Where good burrs run rampant. Talk about a hearty IPA. I almost cried when I tasted one again.

How about the best of both worlds? A little whiskey, a little stout.

I even squeezed in a little running. It felt NICE to run in the rain. But man, running is boring. I was totally missing my weights and throwing heavy shizz around.

The happy couple. :) I pretty much had to FORCE him to take a photo with me.

Even Elliott flew with us! A little Benadryl and this guy was the happiest flier you ever did see!

Only in Oregon. :)

My aunt and uncle, the closet thing to a mom and I dad, hosted us on our visit. They live on a farm with 40 acres They house Bison, goats, chickens, a horse, a few cats, bees, orchards and huge gardens full of fresh, grown, foods.

My going away WOD (Workout of the Day) was maybe the most amazing and memorable experiences of my life. Because it totally sucked (we Crossfitters love the suck), and because all of my amazing friends were there to see me off, to cheer me on, and to embrace the suck with me. It means the world to me that I have so many people who have my back when it comes to Enlisting in the Army.

I am going to miss my Ellie Pie. I snapped this this morning on my way home from the gym.

The biggest and baddest news I have? I finally got my fuggin' squat snatch!

The video is on my Facebook page. I am not sure how to upload it here ...

In the meantime, I have bags to back, white socks to buy, and the Three General Orders to memorize. The husband and I are off to Old Chicago to watch the Man City vs. Chelsea soccer game.

Cheers!
