It was a beautiful day in Central Texas. Cool, breezy morning, and mid 70's in the afternoon. Fall is finally upon us, yet I'm still swearing sundresses in October. Oh my Lanta.
Nah, that's definitely not an IPA. That, my dear reader, is a monster full of envy. Get it, because envious people are green? Moving on.
While James was at PT this morning, I went for a run and did a Crossfit WOD. I ran to the Functional Fitness Gym, about 2.5 miles, did the WOD, then ran 2.5 miles back to the truck. When we got home, I said hello to my old friend Tony Horton, and broke out Ab Ripper X, and did all 300 and something exercises. 349? My core was burrrrrnin'.
The WOD for today:
3 rounds for time:
15 deadlifts at 135 lbs
10 kettle bell swings, 1 pood
5 back extensions on the GHD machine
Total time: 5 min, 41 sec
The run took me about 20 minutes each way. I was finished my run/WOD brick in right under an hour. Not bad! It felt great to be in and out of the gym so quickly. I was amazed I was able to get in and out, set up, break down and WOD without anyone bothering me.
I was planning on going to spin, but the instructor I like wasn't there and hubs wanted to get home, so I did my best and subbed with Ab Ripper X. It just means I'll pick the up the slack tomorrow, throw in a few extra miles.
In this mornings Green Monster:
1 scoop of chocolate whey protein
3 cups of fresh spinach
1/2 cup unsweetened Almond Breeze
1/2 cup fresh waster
1/4 cup frozen blueberries
2 packets Stevia
*Careful when using blueberries in shakes. I always have a hell of time getting the skin out of my teef and not staining my mouth purple.
In other awesome news:
- Elliot went to the groomers and had his Papillion hair totally botched and CHOPPED.
- James is suffering some serious back issues :( It hurts to see my hubby in pain.
- I made the most amazing brownies. You won't believe zuccini is the main ingredient!
Recipe coming atcha tomorrow. Trust me, you're gonna want it.
